Alpine Glow is the classic image of Moraine Lake taken on an early summer morning. Yet this classic image comes in all glorious detail you may already get used to expect.
A short photo story of the pice coming to life
The photo is just about to get permanently mounted on a sheet of acrylic. One of the most critical moments.
Final inspection before setting image into a frame
Joining fine Italian moulding
Signature and a date
Sealing liner inside a frame
And finally piece is ready
Rich details create illusion of looking through a window
I have finally finished going through material from my latest trip to Assiniboine Provincial Park. This is one of my favourite places. This time I took time to capture scene properly. It is very difficult to focus on camera controls and small portion of the scene in the viewfinder instead of admiring the grandeur of the landscape changing by the minute in the rays of setting sun.
This time I have gone the distance and resulting image is an amazing 300 megapixel panorama. Level of detail is like nothing I have done so far.
Here is me in process of finishing this amazing piece
The piece is so large that I will likely have to transport it to the gallery on the roof of my truck
Some of the photos of me spending three nights in the park
The first day was traditionally gloomy with few breaks in thick clouds. This photo is taken about 10 min off the helipad on the trail to the Nub peak.
The sleepover spot for the second night.
Exploring surroundings in the early morning.
