This is one of the recently finished pieces heading to Houston. I love this combination of subject and rich wood texture of the frame.

Under the Glacier
Spent a Christmas day outdoors exploring ice caves of Stutfield Glacier in Jasper National Park. This place is amazing! Each year there is new ice feature created by nature that being erased the next season by ice melting.
On the way to the glacier there are plenty of beautiful views
Entrance to the cave is right in the middle of the lower outcrop of the glacier
The entrance is quite narrow and a bit sketchy as you have to drag yourself through pile of ice rubble at the entrance.
As well as heavy snow overhangs right above the cave. It is surely great idea to keep someone outside at all times in case entrance gets blocked by an unexpected avalanche. We have actually witnessed one happening higher up from the glacier.
