There is no landscape photographer out there who didn’t have on his (or hers) bucket list this famous arch in Utah Canyon Lands state park with its incredible view. If few years back it was a relatively unknown spot, nowadays the biggest difficulty to shoot this scene is its huge popularity. Photographers from all over the world flock to this location in the dusk to secure the best spots in front of the arch. When I have showed up at 5 am there was another dozen or so people with their tripods tightly staked all the way across the premium two meters wide strip in front of the arch that allowed the best view on a canyon behind. I was lucky to find a tight spot for my rig and we all went ahead to an exciting discussion as to which part of the horizon exactly the sun is going to show up. Closer to 6:50 the inside of arch started to glow culminating with incredible show of a sun bursting through the clouds. What a moment!
